About me

I’m Kenzie Farrington, a student journalist in my senior year at the University of Oregon. I have a love for writing. I write and I read on a daily basis because I believe that the written word can change the world. I am a news junkie and currently, my favorite publication is the Atlantic. In my spare time, I write a novel that I have been working on for the past eight years as well as snowboard, play piano, boulder, hike, hang out with friends and re-watch episodes of the office far more often than I’d like to admit.

I’m going to be writing about my experiences as a student journalist and what I have learned along the way. I am a nontraditional student; I am a book lover; I am an introvert; I prefer tea to coffee; My favorite movie is Howls Moving Castle; And one day I want to work for Penguin Random House as an editor.

Right now I am reading Call me by your name and Persuasion, and I’m listening to Miike Snow and the Kongos.
